International Economic and Political Studies (IEPS)

International Economic and Political Studies (IEPS)

The program empowers you to explore the nature of economic objectives, social organization, institutions of power, and the dynamics of conflict and cooperation. You'll master modern non-conventional economic thinking, tangible skills to gather and assess data through both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. You will hone your critical thinking skills with the ability to present, communicate and apply critical decision-making skills on a global scale, equipping you to gain employment from supra-national institutions to corporations, political parties, and more in a highly competitive global job market.

The IEPS program offers two specialisations: International Economics and International Politics. Taught by experts from all five departments of the faculty, including the Institute of Political Studies (IPS) and Institute of Economic Studies (IES), IEPS provides a comprehensive understanding of key topics from multiple perspectives and disciplines. While IEPS primarily focuses on economics and political science, it also delves into historical, legal, and sociological dimensions. This unique interdisciplinary program takes you on a journey through contemporary political, economic, and social issues, offering a multifaceted perspective.

Application submission deadlines

Preliminary application deadline: 30. 06. 2024

Extended application deadline: 31. 08. 2024

Applications fully submitted by June 30, 2024 will already be evaluated during July.

Important note for visa-seeking students: Please read about the visa process carefully before applying. You are responsible for organizing your legal stay in Czechia and the visa application process can get quite lengthy. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to obtain the visa in time because the June and August deadlines are fairly close to the start of the academic year on September 30, 2024. The extended deadlines are therefore strongly recommended to students who already possess the legal right to long-term stay in Czechia.
