Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, presenter Ant, 48, shared that his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, had given birth to a son called Wilder Patrick. But just before Ant's post, his ex wife Lisa took to her Instagram to share a  quote about going through 'silent battles'. 'Be proud of how you've been handling these last few months,' the post read. 'The silent battles you've fought, the moments you had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength.' Ant has been candid in the past about his desire to have children and he publicly spoke about how he had been trying for a baby with ex-wife Lisa.

An art dealer has hailed King Charles' new fiery red portrait as 'extraordinary', describing it as the 'most progressive royal portrait in a very long time'. The King today unveiled the first completed official portrait of himself (pictured left) since the Coronation at Buckingham Palace. The painting, by the renowned artist Jonathan Yeo, was commissioned in 2020 to celebrate the then-Prince of Wales's 50 years as a member of The Drapers' Company. It depicts His Majesty wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, of which he was made Regimental Colonel in 1975. The 2300mm x 1655 mm portrait will go on display for a month at the Philip Mould Gallery in London from May 16 to June 14. Art dealer Mr Mould (pictured right, shaking hands with the King) said today: 'As it is such an important image, it's hugely important that the public have the opportunity to see it. It's an extraordinary 3D work of art.'

Ant McPartlin showed off a never-before-seen family tree tattoo as he revealed that he had welcomed his first child, a son named Wilder Patrick McPartlin, with his wife Anne-Marie on Tuesday. The baby is Ant's first while Anne-Marie has two children, Poppy, and Daisy, from her previous marriage.  Ant, 48, shared a Instagram snap sweetly cradling his baby boy, revealing he'd been born earlier that day on Tuesday, writing: 'Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad's a mess!'

Chilling new footage shows masked gunmen ramming their vehicle into a prison van before opening fire and killing two guards, then freeing a narco boss dubbed 'The Fly' during a merciless two-minute ambush at a French tollbooth. The deadly attack took place just after 11am on the A154 motorway near the Incarville tollbooth, located in the town of Val-de-Reuil, Normandy, northern France . At least two French officers were gunned down in the ambush which saw the assailants and inmate Mohammed Amra, 30, managing to flee the scene on foot. Now, new footage circulating on social media captured the moment a black car smashed into the front of a white police truck before several armed gunmen clad in black appeared to surround the vehicle with their weapons raised. The assailants can be seen firing at the French police van before one opened a door in an apparent bid to free the detainee holed up inside.

Footage captured on a GoPro camera by a motorcyclist shows the vicious fight breaking out early on Sunday morning. In the video the victim, wearing a red jumper, can be seen jostling with another man in a blue hoodie. The man in the hoodie then grabs a chain around the victim's neck which prompts him to try and push him away. However, he manages to yank it off his neck. In a desperate attempt to get his chain back he starts to tussle with the thief.

Archaeologists uncovered two structures hiding below the sands in Egypt that were constructed 4,500 years ago - at the same time as the iconic Great Pyramid. The team used ground-penetrating radar on Giza's Western Cemetery, uncovering an L-shaped anomaly that appeared as an entranceway to a chamber below. The discovery could lead them to an unknown tomb.

A house has been pictured teetering perilously close to a cliff face, with engineers desperately working to prevent further erosion. Following a landslide today, a seafront road in Folkestone, Kent, has been closed off for the remainder of 2024. It has been plagued by recurring landslides this year, with the first incident occurring on January 27.  As a result, a clifftop house has been pushed close to the edge. Engineers from Kent County Council have been actively working to stabilise the steep bank above the affected area to prevent further erosion. The council said: 'We are working with specialist embankment contractors and reviewing all options for stabilisation.'

Queen Mary and King Frederik are currently sailing around in their ship Dannebrog and are in Norway for a state visit with their Scandinavian neighbours. The pair looked cheerful online as as Frederik put his arm around his wife and she leaned into him for the photograph on their pristine yacht (right). Mary and Frederik donned matching padded navy and canary yellow gilets, with the Queen donning a black and white striped long-sleeve t-shirt and her husband wearing a plain white shirt. Prince Edward and Sophie braved the rain on Tuesday to become the first members of the royal family to visit a new memorial statue to Queen Elizabeth II.  The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were on a visit to Oakham, Rutland in the East Midlands.  The royal couple went to the town's library, which is now home to the first memorial statue of the late Queen, which features her beloved corgis at her feet. 

The man - dressed in a woolen cardigan, blue jeans, white trainers and a paddy cap - was filmed enjoying a two-course meal and drinks at Posillipo in The Borough, Canterbury yesterday afternoon. The Italian restaurant, which was allegedly left £65 out of pocket, has released footage of the incident so other businesses can 'keep an eye' out for the man. In the CCTV footage, the man is seen tucking into his food in the outdoor area of the eatery before he puts down his cutlery and begins to look around.

The Prime Minister used a food summit in Downing Street to tell farmers they are 'vital to the security and fabric of our country' while warning that a new 'food security index' has found the UK is too reliant on imports. The study, which will report on food production and land use on an annual basis, found just 55 per cent of vegetables bought in this country are grown domestically and only 17 per cent of fruit. Swapping tropical fruits like avocados and bananas for home-grown alternatives, such as in-season strawberries, is one of the most obvious changes consumers can make.

Stuart Nichols (inset), 46, was captured on a police body-worn camera denying he has been involved in a collision the previous evening which killed Karl Bradshaw (left), 41 on October 20 2022. Mr Bradshaw had fallen into the road on Paston Ridings, Peterborough, and as a taxi transporting people to a nearby Deafblind Centre stopped to help Nichols swerved around the car and struck his victim on the wrong side of the road. After dealing unsurvivable injuries to Mr Bradshaw with his car Nichols, who was banned from driving, drove off - but eyewitnesses and automatic numberplate recognition put him at the scene, and police arrested him less than 24 hours later (right).

Mass protests against the law have swept the South Caucasus nation of 3.7 million in recent weeks, with the latest violent clash between demonstrators and police happening outside the parliament in Tbilisi today. Footage shows demonstrators attempting to break through the barriers outside the government building as hundreds of police officers storm out and roughly drag people wrapped in Georgian flags away from the barriers. A violent brawl also erupted inside the parliament as lawmakers were debating the bill earlier today before it was approved. Georgian Dream MP Dimitry Samkharadze was seen charging toward Levan Khabeishvili, the chairman of main opposition party United National Movement, after Khabeishvili accused him of organising mobs to beat up opposition supporters.

Shocking dash-cam footage taken in July last year shows lorry driver Nicholas Cole attempting to swerve to avoid a stationary National Highway vehicle before he smashes into the back of it. The lorry then overturns and collides with the horse box a few yards up the motorway. The driver and passengers were waiting on the bank and were unharmed but their horse was tragically killed. Cole failed to see that the lane was closed or that the vehicles ahead weren't moving. The 47-year-old said he had been listening to the radio before the collision and the next thing he knew, he saw the Highways vehicle and swerved to avoid it. After the accident, which took place in Northamptonshire, Cole was subsequently charged with dangerous driving which he pleaded guilty to at Northampton Magistrates Court in February.

A group of jet skiers enjoyed a front row seat to a 'once in a lifetime' performance from a playful dolphin pod. The three dolphins got metres away from their audience and jumped clear of the water near Bournemouth Pier, Dorset. Lola Richardson and her six friends turned off their engines and enjoyed the incredible spectacle for about an hour, taking pictures and videos as the elegant mammals leapt through the air. The 17-year-old A-Level student said: 'One of my friends spotted them, and when we got closer, they started jumping off our wake and playing with us. I've never seen a dolphin before. I didn't realise how big they were; it was huge, enormous, massive. I was actually quite scared but at the same time really excited.'

Courtney Kleinebreil, from Arkansas , was 'fed up' with weighing over 300lbs and in 2021 vowed to give herself six months to 'get healthy'. After switching to a low-carb diet, her doctor recommended the 28-year-old start taking Wegovy to fast track her weight loss and later switched to Mounjaro. By June 2023, when she came off the injections, she was left with almost 6lbs (2.7kg) of excess skin on her stomach, which she described as a 'pouch'. Last July, Ms Kleinebreil, who has three children, took the plunge and underwent the cosmetic procedure to tighten the stomach muscles.

The attraction, called the Schlossberg Slide, is completely hidden inside the tree-covered Schlossberg mountain, which lords it over Austria's second-largest city, Graz, at a height of 1,551ft. Riders reach speeds of up to 19mph during their descent.
