Instructions & processing the learnings (group wisdom harvesting, wisdom harnessing & if needed the debrief) are two stages that are in control of the facilitator. Giving crisp, clear instructions & asking focused questions is extremely crucial for smooth execution. If not done right, the entire session can go for a toss. One effective way to refine your presentation is through beta testing. Here’s how to effectively beta test your keynote during the preparation phase. Before you begin testing, define who your target audience is. Understanding their interests, challenges & preferences will help you tailor your content and delivery. This sets the stage for more targeted feedback. Gather a small, diverse group of individuals who represent your target audience. This could include colleagues, friends, or industry peers. Ensure they are willing to provide honest, constructive feedback. Conduct a complete run-through of your keynote presentation. This should mimic the actual event as closely as possible, including timing, use of visuals, and any interactive elements. After your rehearsal, ask your test group for specific feedback. Calling Bangalore: Help Me Find a Space for Healing & Transformation—Be Part of a Bigger Journey What’s lurking in the shadow of not enoughness? Have you ever asked yourself, What’s wrong with me? Or thought, Everyone else seems to have it all together—why can’t I? These thoughts are heavy, familiar, and quietly powerful. They creep into our minds, uninvited, and settle into the darkest corners, whispering that we’re not good enough. Carl Jung called this the shadow—the parts of ourselves we hide, believing they’re unacceptable. But what happens when this shadow grows too large, feeding on shame and self-doubt? Shame is that deep, painful belief that we are fundamentally flawed and unworthy of love and belonging, Brene Brown explained. It’s the voice that says, You’ll never measure up. It feeds off our culture of comparison and perfectionism, a culture that tells us success means flawless careers, perfect families, and the relentless pursuit of more. We learn this early, long before we even understand the words. From birth to age three, before we develop the ability to think analytically, we are driven by feelings. We don’t cry out for a perfect meal—we cry for comfort, for connection. If our caregivers respond with love and attunement, our brains wire themselves for belonging. But when misattunements occur, those neural connections are pruned, and our sense of being “good enough” is compromised from the start. By age seven, our brains operate mostly in theta waves, absorbing everything around us as truth, much like a hypnotic trance. The world around us shapes our beliefs, and many of us grow up trapped in a shame-inducing spell. Think about it: media glorifies perfection, employers reward output over well-being, and even our mental health system often labels us more than it lifts us. Children compete relentlessly, and society subtly teaches us that “enough” is never enough. But here’s the truth we’ve forgotten: We weren’t born feeling unworthy. Somewhere along the way, we absorbed it. So what happens when those carefully packed emotions—the ones we shelved and boxed away for years—come crashing down? In my upcoming workshop, The 5 Wounds of the Soul, we’ll explore the shadow of “not enoughness” and how early misattunements and trauma shape our sense of self. More importantly, we’ll work on healing and reclaiming who we truly are. While teaching a class at Masters' Union, we were discussing the importance of building loyalty among users. There was a question from one of the participants - by offering benefits in return for loyalty, aren't we trying to buy Loyalty?   Another participant then brought up the concept of attitudinal and behavioural loyalty.    When offering benefits we are trying to do develop Behavioural loyalty. Attitudinal loyalty is when the customer is loyal to the brand regardless of offers.   My 2 cents to the discussion: when we invest in developing the brand, we are trying to develop attitudinal loyalty, which is much stronger than behavioural loyalty.    One of the strongest examples I could think of for attitudinal loyalty is Harley-Davidson Motor Company. How loyal must one be to permanently tattoo the brand on to your body!    Heck I cant convince myself to tattoo my wife's name onto my body 😅 #Loyalty #Branding #ProductManagement #InsideDopeOnProducts

The Sensory Foundation The ancient Tamil text Thirukkural and the modern psychological approach of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) converge on a fundamental principle: our sensory experiences are the primary channels through which we comprehend and engage with the world around us.  சுவை, பார்வை, தொடுதல், கேட்டல், முகர்தல் என ஐந்து பொறிகளின் வழியாக அறியப்படுவதே இந்த உலகம்.- Thirukkural Chapter 3: Verse 27 The five key sensory modalities: Visual (sight), Auditory (sound), Kinesthetic (touch and movement), Olfactory (smell), Gustatory (taste) are given so much of importance because they form the foundation of how we human beings experience, interpret, and interact with the world. Our sensory perceptions fundamentally shape our understanding and reactions to the world around us. By recognizing this profound connection, we can cultivate a deeper awareness of our experiences and responses. Greater sensory awareness improves emotional intelligence, as emotions are closely linked to our sensory experiences. A multi-sensory approach is essential for building deeper connections. It also stimulates creative thinking and innovative problem-solving by encouraging us to engage with challenges from multiple perspectives. Mindfulness – the practice of being present and aware of one's sensory experiences, is needed for effective communication and personal development. By recognizing the important role  our senses play experiences in shaping our perceptions , as emphasized by both the Thirukkural and NLP, we can develop a more nuanced, empathetic, and effective approach to personal growth, communication, and human interaction. A timely book with a timeless message As the world faces more technological change than at any time in its existence, "Shift & Shocks" reinforces a fundamental leadership principle: "Change is more human than technology".
