Thank you for your interest in being a part of the Canada Day festivities at Mitford Park. We typically see over around 8000 people throughout the course of the day. As in the past, food trucks will be parked in a horseshoe fashion in the parking lot area. We can accept a total of 15 food vendors - be sure to get your application in early to avoid missing out.

All trucks are required to provide their own generators, and ensure you have adequate supplies and runners to operate for the duration of the event (Noon - 11:00pm).

Load In Times: July 1 @ 9am - All vendors must be fully set up by 11am

Health & Fire/Safety Inspections:

Some vendors may require an onsite inspection from Cochrane Fire Department or Alberta Health.

If this applies to you, it will be coordinated with you directly before the event date.

2023 PRICING
Standard rate for food trucks: $250 + GST
Cochrane based food trucks: $100 + GST

Each of our volunteers will receive ONE food voucher per shift ($15 value), to be redeemed at the food truck of their choice. We ask that you honour these vouchers to a maximum of 10/truck.

1. Canada Day Food Vendor Agreement, and Terms & Conditions.
2. Deposit cheque or eTransfer of participation fee.
3. Alberta Health Services SPECIAL EVENTS VENDOR NOTIFICATION.
4. Copy of your current FOOD HANDLING PERMIT.
5. Copy of your Certificate of Insurance listing The Town of Cochrane and Cochrane & Area Events Society as co-insured (See Terms & Conditions for more on this)

Cochrane & Area Events Society reserves the right to approve the food vendor’s proposed menu. Once approved, the menu must not change without the expressed consent of CAES.

Vehicles are not permitted inside the parking lot area during event hours. If you have to restock during the event hours, you must stop any vehicles at the entrance. We are here to help, so don’t hesitate to ask us or a volunteer if you need items carried.

Food vendors are required to carry public liability insurance of at least $1,000,000; Cochrane & Area Event Society & The Town of Cochrane to be named as co-insured.

Food vendors must have their own insurance for fire, loss by burglary, or any stock or equipment of the food concession operator upon the festival premises. The food vendor shall indemnify Cochrane & Area Events Society against all actions, suits, claims, etc.

Food vendors must comply with all Alberta Health Services standards.

Food vendors will ensure all garbage, recycling and waste materials are disposed of prior to load out. We strongly encourage vendors to use paper plates (compostable ideally) when possible to help decrease our carbon footprint for the event. Absolutely NO glass containers are permitted.

The food vendor agrees that the space in which they occupy during the event shall be left in the exact same condition as it was during load in, otherwise any damage / clean up charges may apply.

Canada Day Festivities at Mitford Park is an outdoor, rain or shine, event and makes no minimum guarantees to the food vendor as to ground conditions, audience size, or minimum sales that might be expected at the event.
