Designed to engage a new generation of regional talent, the Blue Peace Middle East Youth Fellowship Programme (YFP) will from 2024 onwards host young professionals from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Türkiye, as well as Iran and Syria at the Blue Peace ME Coordination Office in Amman for a period of three months.
During this period, fellows will work together to develop and implement a WEFE-Nexus-themed project, while also participating in Blue Peace Middle East events and tailor-made training sessions in areas as diverse as water diplomacy, effective science communication and international water law.
We have opened the call for applications for the first fellowship that will run from March to July 2024 and that targets young graduates below the age of 30 from Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Türkiye, who are interested in water, regional cooperation and sustainable development in the Middle East.
The first YFP cohort will focus on transboundary water cooperation and the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus as a tool for cooperation and sustainable development in the region.
