ROSTER LIMITS
MENS AND WOMENS A - 22 PLAYERS
ALL OTHER DIVISIONS 20 PLAYERS on
The men's A/B level tournaments will remain as an open division with no restrictions, and will break down into A and B playoffs when a minimum 14 teams sign up. Any Player who plays in an A/Open level tournament in the USABH tournament circuit will automatically be added to the B restricted list.

*******New for 2024. The matching jersey rule will be in effect for ALL GAMES, INCLUDING PLAYOFFS. Teams must have 100% matching jerseys for their main color, and must have a back up set of a different color. Your back up set just needs to be the same color. 100% matching means same color, logos, fonts , ect.****

1- Teams may not have any players from our A list.
2- Teams may have no more than 2 players from USABH u23 team (2023 team and later )

The mens D division salary cap is 20 points. Player values are here
*** Additional restrictions -
1- No players 2.4 points OR higher allowed in D
2- Teams may only have 4 players ranked 1.5 points and higher.
3- Teams may only have a maximum of 2 players from a current Tier 1 roster, no matter their point values. (Still can not be 2.4 points or more )
4- Teams may not have any players from USABH u23 and only 1 u20 team player as long as they fit in other restrictions.
5- Teams may not have more than 5 players playing in the C division that same weekend
6- teams may have no more than 3 B restricted players

Teams may not have anyone from our novice restricted list here - NOVICE RESTRICTED LIST or from the A-B restricted list found here - 2023 mens A and B restriction lists
***Additional restrictions
1- Teams may not have any Tier 1 players from the 2023 OR 2024 NBHL tier 1 rosters.
2- Teams may not have any players from the USABH masters over 35 team, and only 2 players from the over 45 team.
3- Teams may not have any players from any current u23, u20, or u18 roster ( u18 USABH only ).
4- Teams may not have any player who has played for an ISBHF or WBDHF mens world team in the last 10 years.
5- Teams may not have any player who has played Canadian mens A nationals in the last 5 years.
6- Teams may not have any player who has been paid to play any level of ice hockey in the last 5 years.
7- Teams may not have any player who played D1 mens college hockey in the last 10 years.
8- Teams may not have any player who has played in the mens A ball hockey circuit, or any Canadian mens A AND B tournaments in the last 5 years
9- Teams may only have 3 players 1.5 points and above
10- Teams may only have 4 players playing C the same weekend
Mens REC division salary cap is 10 points ( WHEN THE REC IS A STAND ALONE DIVISION )

4- Team may not have more than 5 players playing novice that same weekend
Coed B restrictions
SALARY CAP is 15 points
1- Teams may not have any mens A or B restricted players
2- Teams may only have 2 womens A restricted players, ( exemption if the usabh women's team plays together )
3- Teams can have no tier 1 nbhl players from 2024 rosters
4- Teams may not have any players from USABH u23, u20, or u18 boys players.
5- Teams may have no players 2 points or higher
Coed C restrictions
SALARY CAP is 12 points
1- all coed B restrictions
2- Teams can have no USA women's national team players from last 8 years or masters team 1 players from last 6 years
3- Teams can have no USA junior players from any mens age bracket, or women’s u20. Future Stars womens junior players would need approval.
4-No NBHL tier 1 players 2023 or 2024 teams , and no male players over .7 points
5- Teams may have no more the 2 NBHL tier 2 players (subject to approval )
6- Teams may only have 2 women’s B restricted players
7- Teams may not have any players from the novice restricted list
8- Teams may not have any one who has played coed A in the last 24 months MEN OR WOMEN
9- Teams may have no player who have made a USA team from any age bracket or Future stars u16
Womens B restrictions
SALARY CAP POINT TOTAL 23
1- Team may not have anyone from the women’s A restricted list. Any player currently playing PRO ice , OR COLLEGE D1 is considered A restricted.
2- Any NEW women who have played pro ice in the last 5 years will have a point value of 2.5. Any player who played D1 ice the last 5 years will be valued 2 points for salary cap
USE THIS FOR 2024 WOMEN'S DIVISION SALARY CAP POINTS
Womens C restrictions SALARY CAP 12 POINTS
1- Teams can not have any player rostered on an A team IN 2023 OR 2024
2- Teams may not have any A restricted players. And only 2 B restricted players under 1.5 point value
3- Teams may not have any USABH women's masters team 1 players from 2018 rosters and on
4- Teams may not have any USA U20 women's team players (usabh and usdbhf for last 6 years ). NO 2024 u19 future stars players
5- Teams may only have 4 players also rostered in the B that same weekend
Masters B restrictions
1- Teams may not have any MENS players valued over 2.1 points
2- Teams may only have 2 players from USA MENS masters over 45 team
3- Teams may only have 3 players playing A that weekend
4- Teams may not have any players from the isbhf MENS over 35 USA or Canada teams
Team reps are RESPONSIBLE for all restriction guidelines. If a team is found to have a restricted player play for their team
1- They will forfeit any win they have from that event
2- The captain will be suspended for the remainder of the event , and possibly more (minimum of 3 games )
3- The illegal player will be suspended from that event for ALL teams and possibly more (minimum of 3 games )
Any player or team rep / captain caught doing this twice will face a review board, with a potential 1 year ban from all events.
Any player caught playing with a non valid USABH ID number will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament
( minimum 2 games) and the team rep / captain could face suspension
Winning tournament rules,
- Cool Hockey Events reserves the right to move a team up divisions after 1 tournament win
OTHER NOTES TO BE AWARE OF
This system will evolve throughout the initial application of new restrictions and changes can be made for the best interest of the sport
We RESERVE THE RIGHT to deny or approve any player on a roster, no matter if they fit / don’t fit in the salary cap, and restrictions
ALL RULES ARE VALID UNLESS THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS DEEM OTHERWISE
