My hopeful superpower will kick Cancers butt

Hello, my name is Mei. In 2017 I moved from China to be an au pair for a beautiful family of five, near Tampa, Florida. I came to the U.S. not knowing anyone, and not speaking the language. I instantly fell in love with the children, parents, and my role within the family. I was eager to learn English quickly, then I attended St. Petersburg College to study intensive English (I'm getting better every day).

In 2021, I met my boyfriend, who proposed within the first year of dating. We married in 2022 and I am thrilled to say we've just celebrated our 1-year anniversary.

My fairytale was literally just beginning ... and the day after our first anniversary I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. What a way to get over an anniversary high, right?

Fundraising isn't an easy topic for me, I'm not very accustomed to asking for help. I've always been pretty independent, enjoying having to build and work for the things that I have. Unfortunately, sometimes things like CANCER happen, of course, no one is ever expecting it...

.. any financial help will make a huge difference. I am strong and I am going to fight with everything that I've got.
