Exploring the Benefits of CBD: Delta 10 THC and Delta 9

In recent years, the popularity of Cannabidiol (CBD) has soared, with a wide range of CBD products now available across the United States. So, why is CBD so popular? Why do people seem to love it so much? What are the benefits of CBD, and what does the research say?

Let’s dive into it.

Getting Started: Defining CBD

Before looking into the potential benefits, let’s define what CBD is exactly.

CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, is one of over 113 chemical compounds found in cannabis plants like hemp and marijuana. While THC, including Delta 10 THC and Delta 9, is another well-known cannabinoid, it’s important to note that CBD and THC are distinctly different. THC, particularly Delta 9 THC, is psychoactive, giving off a “high” when consumed. On the other hand, CBD is non-psychoactive (meaning no “high”), and does not affect cognitive abilities.

Most Popular Products

CBD is usually derived from hemp, due to its higher CBD and lower THC content (less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC). Hemp’s federal legalization in the United States recently changed under the 2018 Farm Bill, which has made it easier to sell CBD products nationwide.

Extensive research has been done looking into CBD, exploring various areas of potential benefits. So, which areas show the most promise?

Impact on Mental State

While CBD is not psychoactive, it has been found to promote a greater sense of calm. Numerous studies have focused on this benefit specifically, and highlighted CBD’s potential to alleviate stress.

In one study involving individuals with social anxiety, those who took CBD before public speaking reported feeling calmer and more confident in facing the stressful situation.

Another study examined CBD’s impact on people with anxiety and insomnia resulting from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. The trial showed a decrease in anxiety symptoms and improved sleep quality and duration.

These studies, along with many others, suggest that CBD may help users achieve a greater sense of calm, leading to better sleep, improved focus during stressful situations, and an overall enhanced quality of life.

Interactions with Inflammation

Inflammation is becoming more and more common, and can cause joint issues and mobility difficulties. Researchers have been intrigued by CBD’s potential interactions with inflammation, and the promising outcomes that might exist.

A study investigating inflammation associated with oxidative stress found that CBD significantly reduced inflammation caused by oxidative stress. It’s important to note, oxidative stress plays a role in conditions such as diabetes (types 1 and 2), Alzheimer’s disease, and certain forms of arthritis.

Another study focused on CBD’s impact on inflammation in mice with pancreatitis. The researchers observed a significant reduction in inflammation in mice given CBD, especially when compared to those administered other medications or a placebo.

These studies, along with numerous others, have shown promising results, indicating that CBD may offer relief for various issues involving inflammation.

Potential Benefits for Skin Health

The potential benefits of CBD, for skin health may surprise those unfamiliar with its properties. Research suggests that CBD may contribute to overall skin improvement.

For instance, a study investigated CBD’s effect on sebum production in the skin. Sebum is the oil produced by the skin to protect it from external factors. However, excessive production of sebum can lead to clogged pores, triggering acne. The results showed that CBD could help regulate sebum production, which can be beneficial for individuals with excessive oil production. Additionally, two human clinical studies examining CBD’s effects on acne will report their findings soon.

Another study explored CBD’s interaction with melanogenesis, the process that protects the skin against ultraviolet light, preventing burns and damage. The researchers discovered that CBD could enhance the melanogenesis process, potentially providing increased protection for the skin against external forces.

Considering the universal concern for skin health, these studies, among others, suggest that CBD could provide a boost to overall skin health.

While CBD has been extensively studied and shows promising potential benefits, we still have a lot to learn about cannabinoids like Delta 10 THC and Delta 9. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been enough research yet to determine their specific advantages. Most of the research focus has been on CBD, and the potential benefits of Delta 10 THC and Delta 9 are yet to be discovered.

But, with the 2018 Farm Bill legalizing hemp cultivation, we can expect more research to be conducted looking into Delta 10 TCH and Delta 9 in the future. If Delta 10 THC and Delta 9 are anywhere near as beneficial as CBD, we are all in for a genuine treat.
