ACON is seeking a committed and vibrant person to establish, implement and evaluate of ACON’s new program of social groups for LGBTQ+ people with disability. This role will involve consulting with community members to design a group program with topics including finding community and self-advocacy. You will facilitate the fortnightly group program with both in person (in Sydney, NSW) and online sessions. You will also design and deliver at least two community social events for LGBTQ+ people with disability.
You will be working as part of a supportive and committed team within ACON’s Community Health Division, including another CHPO – People with Disability, who primarily works on a project supporting LGBTQ+ people with disability to navigate the NDIS.

Salary: $72,707 to $77,758 (Gross FTE per-annum, PLUS Superannuation and Leave Loading) – commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
Location: ACON’s Gadigal, Surry Hills, Office, with flexible working options a possibility (away from the office).
Please Note: We are looking for a person that can attend and deliver in-person social group sessions and community events, and work from ACON’s Gadigal (Surry Hills) office as required.
Hours: Part-Time (42 hours per fortnight) on a 1-year fixed term contract (with the possibility of extension).
