THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Here are my areas of expertise and
what I draw from when mentoring and coaching.

Let yourself be inspired by choosing your focus.
FOCUS 1:  Teaching with a Theme
Learn to be clear & precise in your words and creative in your guidance, to teach students deeper concepts within their practice.
  • Find and Share inspiring quotes during your Opening or Savasana ( to spark a sense of Unity and open heartedness)
  • Use speaking formulas to find your true Authentic message ( without sounding like someone else).
  • Learn to teach from 5 standard themes.
  • Improvisation games to expand your cueing vocabulary
  • Learn cueing formulas to weave your theme into a lesson
  • Stimulate your Creative Mind (to learn to improvise and adjust to what is actually happening in the classroom instead of what you planned)
  • Discuss Philosophy concepts and how to weave them as a theme.
FOCUS 2 : Communication & Voice Work
Authentic and clear communication are the ideals of a good teacher:

  • Personalized Voice exercises to improve in the area you need it most.

  • Enhance your own asana practice through working in partners
  • Assist via the energetic direction of the poses

  • Learn when to touch and when to indicate
  • Practice inviting a student to demo a peak pose and assist them
  • Using props, belts and other supports to modify poses
  • Work with Assisting Manual covering all general poses and " finishing poses.

What teachers are saying about working with Leah...

"If you want to develop yourself personally as a yoga teacher and face challenges in teaching, a mentorship with Leah is recommended. Leah shows you that teaching has many aspects. Not just the alignment and misalignment in the asanas; giving "assists" but also how to you use your voice during class. Which “cues” do you give? What words do you use? Do you know what kind of students are in your class? Do you see your students as whole and complete? Do you know them by name? How do you add depth to your lessons? And perhaps most importantly, are you being yourself in class? Leah is authentic, full of humour, enthusiastic, respectful, committed and very experienced. I love having her as a mentor"

~Lizzy Bas (Studio BlauweVlinder)

Leah's strength as a mentor is that she sees and feels very well what you need at the moment in order to continue to grow as a yoga teacher. She sees it, gives concrete feedback and helps you to go outside your comfort zone - where the growth is. After each lesson I had grown more and because I had already experienced it during our lesson, I could immediately integrate it into my own lessons. I think that is the added value of 1: 1 working. After an Advanced Teacher Training I always felt inspired afterwards, but I received so much input in a few days that afterwards I did not know what to start with and I had difficulty integrating all the input. Also, in a group training I often did not learn what I needed most at the time for my growth. During the 1: 1 work it goes step by step, you integrate it and so it also sticks.

~Rosan Oosterom  (freelance teacher- coach)

"As teachers, we strive to be unique and authentic and Leah’s advanced training is really about this. With effective tools and teachings she will help you to look within to find your true voice. I will recommend this training to all the teachers who feel the need to improve their skills to teach meaningful classes"

~Beatrice Savaris (multiple studios)

"I have attended several trainings with Léah Kline and learned a lot from her. Besides a lot of helpful cues and adjustments, I have learned to theme a class and how to translate this on the mat. How to play with words and make your yoga class personal. All of this in a light and funny way. Thank you Léah for all the beautiful insights and your unique way of teaching which inspires me a lot! "

~Suzanne Reynaert  (teacher- owner: Studio Reyn)

"Leah taught me to trust my instinct and explore and find different words in cueing, how to use my voice when teaching, how to work with inspiring texts: fantastic, educational, nice, fun, inspiring, in-depth and special "

~ Maaike Peys, (Yoga Seads)

"To learn how to use your own uniqueness as a teacher to build up a healthy and meaningful class has been a real treat. To be able to use your own voice in more than one way, is inspiring. To really understand adjustments and when to give and more importantly when not to give them, was also very valuable. Leah is an experienced, knowledgeable and inspiring teacher and I would recommend her Mastering Your Teaching Skills course with my eyes closed"

~ Yvette storer  (teacher-owner Bare Yoga)

"It would be my pleasure to be your
guide and witness on this journey
towards your highest vibration"

Master teachers believe that all students can learn, and they are committed to the success of their students. They possess a deep understanding of how students learn and develop, and they strive to create positive learning environments for all students, regardless of current skills or ability levels.
~ Teachers are her favorite students.
