The Northland Community & Technical College women's basketball team will compete in the NJCAA Region XIII-B Tournament that begins Saturday, March 1 with semifinal games and concludes with the region championship game Sunday, March 2. All games will be played at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Coon Rapids. 

The Pioneers, currently ranked third in the latest NJCAA Divison III Poll, earned the number one seed in Region XIII-B by winning the MCAC Northern Division with a perfect 10-0 division record and 21-4 overall record. They will face South number four-finisher Minnesota State Community & Technical College (, which went 12-10 overall and 6-5 against MCAC South opponents. The Pioneers and Spartans met twice during the regular season, with the Pioneers winning 70-52 on Nov. 18 in Fergus Falls, and 85-40 on Dec. 8 in Thief River Falls. The start time is 2 p.m. 

The other Region XIII-B semifinal game pits South number two-seed Minnesota West Bluejays (21-7, 10-2) against North number three-seed Minnesota North College - Rainy River Voyageurs (12-12, 4-4). The scheduled start time is 4 p.m. or 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first semifinal game. 

The Pioneers faced both the Bluejays and Voyageurs during the regular season. The Pioneers defeated the Bluejays, currently ranked second in NJCAA Division III, 81-53 on Dec. 14 in Worthington. The Pioneers defeated the Voyageurs 75-64 on Jan. 13 in International Falls and 63-36 on Feb. 10 in Thief River Falls. 

Sunday's championship game will be held at 2:30 p.m.
