We’ve officially opened our doors at Menara 1 Sentrum, Level 28, marking a significant milestone in our journey and the entire building’s occupancy. This expansion, a strategic partnership with Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB), is more than just an increase in space—it’s a leap toward redefining the future of workspaces in Malaysia.
At WORQ, we’re always looking ahead, and our latest venture at Menara 1 Sentrum is a prime example. Positioned strategically at key transit hubs and train stations, we’re aiming to transform the commuter experience in the Klang Valley. By integrating transit systems with flexible, accessible office spaces, we’re preparing the workforce for a hybrid work future, a norm in many developed nations. Taking inspiration from the efficient public transport systems in Japan and Singapore, our co-founders, Stephanie Ping and Andrew Yeow, are dedicated to developing a local culture that embraces this new way of working.
The trend towards flexible workspaces is gaining momentum globally. According to JLL, a global leader in real estate services, 2.5% of Grade A office space in the Asia-Pacific region is now occupied by operators like us. Yulia Nikulicheva from JLL Malaysia points out that the demand for such spaces in Kuala Lumpur’s city centre has returned to pre-pandemic levels.
The pandemic has indeed accelerated the shift towards hybrid work styles, with more and more corporations finding coworking spaces an effective solution for their evolving needs.
