Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour has slashed the price of his seaside mansion as it remains unsold after more than a year.

Medina House in Hove, built in 2020 to replace a 19th century bath house, originally went on the market for £15 million in August last year.

The asking price has now been slashed to £10 million.

The King’s Esplanade property is listed on Zoopla as a six bedroom town house with four bathrooms and four reception rooms.

The property, near Hove Lawns, also includes a private garden, balconies, a gym and a sauna.

Other luxuries include a humidity and temperature controlled wine store, an orangery and courtyard garden.

The custom-built mansion was designed by award-winning architect Keb Gavarito-Bruhn and includes the Dutch gables from the original 19th century building it replaced.

Gilmour previously said: “The main bedroom, with sea views in all directions, is a beautiful place from which to watch the sunrise and sunset across the sea.

“At night, it’s intoxicating to watch from bed the moon reflected in the water.

“When you wake up in the morning, the view is always a surprise: the sea and sky are never the same.

“It’s a huge advantage not to have a busy road and traffic between us and the sea.

“We love the drama of winter storms over the water and it is amazing to run across the beach to swim and hop back to the house for a sauna.”

The site underwent improvements in March this year with scaffolding on the outside of the building.

The mansion is a stone’s throw from Western Esplanade where a number of famous residents have lived over the years including DJ Fatboy Slim.

Gilmour now lives at a farm in Wisborough Green near Horsham.
