I am delighted to share that our Gold Coast Tropical Farm on the 5/F of #GoldCoastHotel has recently welcomed 18 species of Platycerium as 'newcomers'! This wonderful addition will bring a vibrant array of tropical varieties to our farm, allowing us to showcase the beauty of tropical nature right here in the city of Hong Kong. Platycerium plants, originating from South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia, are truly a sight to behold. Their unique shapes, resembling the majestic horns of dragons, make them an eye-catching addition to our farm this Year of the Dragon. What makes them even more fascinating is their rich individual histories and unique intriguing features. Each plant has an endearing name, and their origin stories are deeply rooted in tradition and culture. A total of 18 species, including the Platycerium Coronarium in 1785 and the most recent addition of Platycerium Holttumii in 1970 from Asia, the beautiful Platycerium Ellisii from Madagascar, as well as the sole Staghorn fern species native to the Americas, are now thriving at the Gold Coast Hotel's Gold Coast Tropical Farm! I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to OASIS 911 Joyce Siu and Simon Yeung for their invaluable support in sourcing these magnificent plants and helping us create a tropical haven for everyone to enjoy.    Come join us to explore the beauty of Platycerium in this tropical paradise on your next visit to the Gold Coast Tropical Farm!   #SinoGroup #FarmTogether #Sustainability #GoldCoastTropicalFarm #GoldCoastHongKong #Platycerium #TropicalParadise
