Here is Your First Look at Assistant with Bard on Android and How Many Features It Will Deliver

Over the past couple of weeks, we have been hearing a lot about how Google is integrating Bard with Google Assistant, and once that is done, Assistant with Bard is what we will get in return. Today, we have our hands on several screenshots showing how this integration is going to look like and what you should expect going forward. Keep in mind that the integration is not complete, but the screenshots and UI give an idea of what things are going to be like.

Assistant with Bard will change the way how you use Google Assistant for the better

Assistant with Bard is Google's attempt to ensure that all the AI-related features are easily accessible by all users. And honestly, this is a genius way of integration, and I just hope that this works the right way. With 2024 being the year when almost all the phones in the market will offer on-device AI, this is the right time to have such a feature available.

Looking at the screenshot above, you can see how the setup screen for Assistant with Bard is going to inform users that Bard can help with several classic Assistant features. This is definitely something that should be an option because we can imagine that not everyone would want to go ahead and use AI right away.

Once you expand the UO, you start seeing more indicators of how to use Assistant with Bard. You will also get several suggestions about how you can use this assistant, and it goes without saying, but there will be a slew of use cases that you can get out of the assistant once the integration is complete.

In case you go ahead and call up Assistant with Bard on an already active app, you will have an option saying, "Add this screen." if you click on it, it will attach a screenshot of the screen you are on for context, and you can even ask AI to go ahead and carry out the task with whatever information it has access to. I think this is incredibly handy as it will save time when researching topics.

As expected, Assistant with Bard will also keep a history of your conversations with the chatbot, and you can always access this information if you want to later. There are also going to be some extensions that will help the AI pull in data from various sources to ensure that the task you handed to it is done correctly.

In the screenshot above, you can see several settings that are also going to be available when you start using Assistant with Bard. The point here is that Google is giving you complete control as to how you want to use the new set of features, and if you are looking for something that is more on the moderate side, then it is not at all an issue because you can always go ahead and use Assistant in its classic form.

Sadly, at the time of writing, we cannot really say much about the Assistant with Bard and when it is going to come out for all the users, but considering how the feature is already baked into Assistant and can be enabled after some tinkering, we will not have to wait a long time before it starts rolling out to everyone.
