C.E.S & HealthTech CES has officially wrapped up, and with the blitz of new consumer gadgets comes a plethora of new at-home health tech. A number of new devices for patients to easily monitor their vitals from home have emerged, bringing with them concerns about how patient data is being transmitted and stored. When selecting a device for at-home use, it is imperative to check if the manufacturer has their data security policies available and to ensure they are adhering to strict compliance standards. Manufacturers collecting patients’ health information need to put the utmost care into their security and compliance practices to avoid exposing sensitive information to malicious actors. At-home health tech provides significant benefits for patients to take control of their own health, particularly in rural areas where healthcare is less accessible. Ensuring that health tech is produced with security at the top of mind will provide the most benefit to the patients, keeping them healthy and their health information secure. #ces2024 #healthtech #healthcare #healthcareit

Hello, LinkedIn Community! 👋 Today, I want to shed light on a game-changer revolutionizing the healthcare industry: #Digital_Health. 🌐💻 🚀 Empowering Patients: Digital health innovations are giving people more control than ever before. People can take charge of their health and well-being by using smartphone apps that offer personalized health information and wearable gadgets that monitor vital signs. It's all about giving them control of the situation! 🌍 Bridging Gaps in Access: The ability of digital health to close healthcare access gaps is one of its most important benefits. For instance, telemedicine allows remote consultations to reach underprivileged regions with healthcare services. We can guarantee that everyone, regardless of where they live, has access to high-quality healthcare with the help of digital health technologies. 💡 Driving Preventive Care: The healthcare paradigm is shifting from a preventive to a proactive one due to digital health. Healthcare professionals can identify potential health hazards and take early action, halting the spread of diseases, with the help of data-driven insights. It all comes down to reorienting the emphasis from proactive well-being to therapy. 🔒 Ensuring Data Security: As we embrace the digital revolution in healthcare, data security, and privacy are of paramount importance. Building robust systems and implementing stringent safeguards are crucial to protect patient information. With a strong foundation of trust, we can continue to leverage digital health advancements for the benefit of all. As we collaborate to create a future in which technology and healthcare seamlessly intertwine, let's embrace the opportunities that digital health presents. #DigitalHealth #HealthcareInnovation #FutureofHealthcare

The Cures Act (https://lnkd.in/gjYMgkMB) was an important regulatory inflection point that transformed the healthcare industry by ensuring that all medical and health data is owned and controlled by the individual. We recognized this opportunity to unlock opportunities for patients, researchers and healthcare providers. We leveraged this regulation to adapt our data management practices to comply with the regulatory framework, and develop a secure, interoperable system that enables a seamless exchange of health information while ensuring privacy and data protection. At Medeloop we believe that an individual’s ownership of data and respecting an individual’s right to privacy is key to building a platform that people can trust. Giving the power back to the individual over their health journey is our highest priority. #digitalhealth #digitalhealthcare #healthtech #healthtechnology #personalizedmedicine #wearables #research #medicalresearch #ehr #phr #personalizedhealth #personalizedhealthcare #healthdata #personalhealthdata

Great information shared. I see all too often the challenges within healthcare systems. A need to ensure that digital transformation and implementation not only meets the demands of the Organisation, but of the end user and workforce. Digital skills often need to be identified, understood and learnt. Exclusions need to be identified and any constraints or interoperability issues to systems addressed to really enhance the product, experience and safety of digital solution. #digitalisation #nhsdigital #innovation #clinicalsystem #informatics #digitalskills #resistancetochange #changemanagement #benefits

Healthcare systems are transitioning from inefficient, largely reactive, and episodic models of care to proactive and preventive models leveraging #emergingtechnologies. Digital #healthtechnology, encompassing a range of applications such as #mobilehealth apps, #wearable devices, and #telemedicine platforms, has opened up new avenues for improving healthcare access and delivery. By leveraging these tools, healthcare delivery models are becoming more accessible, inclusive, and affordable. Data analytics is empowering systems to gain insights from the vast amount of health information collected from electronic records, patient surveys, and social determinants of health data. As healthcare goes through a wave of #digitaltransformation, it is pivotal to understand how these #digitaltools are developed, prepared, assessed, and implemented. Systems should be designed and implemented with a focus on the user's needs, culture, education, and literacy if we want to implement connected care delivery models successfully. One significant obstacle to the widespread adoption of #technology is the #digitaldivide, particularly in regions with limited access to the internet and technological infrastructure. Language and cultural barriers also impede effective communication and utilisation of these technologies. It is crucial to ensure that #digitalhealth solutions are accessible and user-friendly for individuals from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. It is important to remember that the human touch will still be paramount. Even though digitised healthcare models hold vast promise, preserving #empathy, dignity, and compassion in patient care remains indispensable, and technologies should serve as enablers for human interaction and personalised experience. To ensure technologies do not perpetuate #healthinequity, digital workflows should be used ethically and effectively by carefully addressing inherent #biases, #healthdata sources should be representative and #inclusive of all population groups, and comprehensive guidelines on patient safety, privacy, and consent should be implemented. By doing so, we can use these technologies to transcend existing disparities and deliver more #equitable healthcare solutions. #aitechnology #aitech #patientsafety #healthautomation #healthdata #datasecurity #healthcareforall #equityandinclusion

Technology has become our sixth sense, but do we understand its power? In today's digital world, health records are no longer kept in dusty filing cabinets. They're stored digitally, and accessed with a few keystrokes or clicks. But - it's not just about ease of access. It's about using this information to transform patient care and outcomes. Digital health leverages technology to improve health and wellness. This means using data to provide more personalized care, streamline operations, and make healthcare more accessible. Consider the power of wearable devices that monitor heart rates or blood sugar levels in real-time, allowing for immediate interventions. Or how telemedicine has been instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing healthcare to patients' homes when they couldn't physically visit clinics. However, as technology advances, so do the challenges. Data privacy concerns, security threats, and ensuring equal access to digital services are pressing issues that need addressing. The future of healthcare lies in our ability to ethically harness the power of digital health. Are you ready for this digital revolution? #AI #Data #Technolgy #Smartcity

Technology is transforming healthcare, enhancing accessibility and efficiency through specific at-home tools: Key Innovations: 🕧Wearable Devices: Track vital parameters e.g. pulse and blood pressure all the time. ❤️🩹Telehealth Sessions: See the doctor remotely by video and do not travel long distances to and from the clinic. 🤖Health Apps: Provide personalized healthcare advice and warnings for reminders of medicines or exercise. I wonder to what degree these technologies influence our daily personal health routines. Do they assist you in managing your health better or do they facilitate getting medical services or access to them? #athometools #healthcare #webdevelopment #technologies
