On Being a Woman in The World of Design
At YS, we have a year-round commitment to our female team members. This International Women's Day, we caught up with some of YS's leading women to explore what it means to be a woman in design.
Last year, we hosted a roundtable to discuss some of the roadblocks facing women in design and we’re really proud of the progress we’ve made since then.
We’ve become members of Careers After Babies, helping us further develop our family-friendly policies and practices.
We’ve united our global studios with women’s coaching circles hosted by certified coach Debbie, sharing experiences, stories and support.
We’ve continued our long-standing relationship with Kerning the Gap, mentoring women in the design industry. In line with this year’s theme of investing in women, we’ll sponsor four mentorship places for the 2024-5 cohort.
This year, we’re excited to launch YS Voices to coincide with IWD, our new platform that will amplify diverse voices worldwide to co-create better futures so that we can enable meaningful access and representation to be a catalyst for change in the design industry.
