As we reflect on the remarkable journey of 2023, I am happy to share a few highlights that define Birla Carbon's commitment to innovation, diversity, excellence, sustainability, and safety. This year has been a testament to our unwavering dedication to shaping a future that is #successful, #sustainable, and #inclusive. We launched our 11th sustainability report – Share The Future, with a new and dynamic sustainability strategy based on the #ESG framework of Environment, Social, and Governance and the clear connection to the role of #innovation to make this strategy succeed. Our big step in the Energy Systems market came with the acquisition of Nanocyl SA, which is our foray into the carbon nanotubes market to charge growth strategies in the #battery materials value chain along with other sectors. #Innovation has been the buzzword for us as we have had multiple projects that have taken off in the recent past. Our BiiG roadshows were successfully concluded across all our locations this year, which has infused enthusiasm and curiosity among the #employees to take up innovation and implement its tools into their daily work. One of the things I am personally proud of is our work in the area of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). The leadership team at Birla Carbon has consciously engaged across the organization to drive focus on #DEI. This focus will support our efforts to become a future-ready business and a leading global employer offering #equitable opportunities to everyone and is inclusive across the spectrum. With a 160-year legacy, #quality and #safety are cornerstones of Birla Carbon's success. Through this year's Quality Week, we honored our team's dedication to excellence and relentless pursuit of quality across all operations. At the same time, during Global Safety Week, we reaffirmed our commitment to the highest safety standards globally. These initiatives reflect our ongoing efforts to ensure every employee feels #empowered and valued, as employee wellbeing is paramount. We will continue prioritizing safety and quality as integral parts of our corporate #ethos. As we navigate the complexities of the #business landscape, I want to express my #gratitude to the entire Birla Carbon family for their hard work, resilience, and dedication. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, and I am confident that our collective efforts will continue to drive success in the years to come.
