CJ BIO utilized advanced technologies, including AI-assisted strain selection and protein engineering, to elevate the effectiveness of feed enzymes, an essential element for enhancing animal performance. Within our offering, we present a single enzyme solution, Phytase, which belongs to the phosphatase family. This enzyme serves a crucial role in breaking down the typically indigestible phytic acid present in grains and seeds. This breakdown leads to the release of essential nutrients such as phosphorus, minerals, and myo-inositol. As a result, it contributes to enhancing animal productivity and concurrently decreasing feed costs. I #didn't #know #this!!! Is #amide bond formation between a #primary #amide and #primary #amine? Only #nature can do this using an enzyme known as #Transglutaminase. #Transglutaminases or #Factor #XIII or fibrin-stabilizing factor are a family of enzymes that catalyze amide bond formation between the #γ-carboxamide side-chain group of #Glutamine (Gln) and primary amines, such as the ε-amino group of #Lysine (Lys). It is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the final stages of #blood #clotting and #wound #healing. It is involved in the #cross-#linking of #fibrin, a protein formed during the blood clotting cascade, which strengthens and stabilizes #blood #clots. It acts in the final stages of clot formation, reinforcing the clot and making it more stable.

Fatty acid composition in Carthamus species Palmitoleic acid (C16:1) and linolenic acid (C18:3) were found at trace levels and stearic acid (C18:0) accounted for only 1–3% of the total FAMEs. Base on oleic acid (C18:1) and linoleic acid (C18:2) content, the C. tinctorius accessions could be divided into two groups: one accession containing high linoleic acid (61–79%), medium oleic acid (28%) and low oleic acid (15%) and another accession with high oleic acid (63–70%) and low linoleic acid (21–27%). High oleic acid content was not observed in the wild Carthamus species which had 74–84% linoleic acid but only 8-14% oleic acid. Together, oleic and linoleic acids made up the majority (90–95%) of the FAMEs in all Carthamus specie. A complete sequence of the fad2-1 gene has shown a 1-bp deletion at position 604 leads to an early stop codon resulting in a truncated FAD2-1 enzyme. #fattyacidcomposition #carthamus #species #oleic #linoleic #gene #fad2_1 #sequenceing #FAME
