📣 “Let’s make peace with nature” - a call from Susana Muhamad, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia. As our gathering in Davos comes to an end, let’s look towards the next milestone of this year: the #COP16 in Colombia. Let’s remember the minister’s key messages as we prepare for this gathering: 🌱 Shift our perspective on nature: nature is not a market commodity or a resource. It is the source of life. 🍃 Embrace change: if nature can adapt to the climate change inflicted by human extractive activities, so can societies and economies.  🤝 Make space for indigenous communities. Let’s tune down the discussions of power and listen to the knowledge and answers the stewards of nature hold. #CallForAction #Davos #NaturePositive  SDG Tent, Nature Positive Initiative

Thank you. Regenerative resource management in harmony with nature supporting the most important plans for the planet and humankind.

Unfortunately, while Indigenous people spiritually belong to Earth, Earth legally belongs to those who call themselves the global community - non-indigenous, rootless people driven by the idea of ownership, not belonging. With a little help from man-made Law, a man-made instrument called Money seems to have given us an ability to own that which owns us. Being Indigenous is the idea of belonging to that which owns you, unlearning ownership to enjoy the fact that our owner is Earth.

Inspiring words. Its time to rethink our relationship with nature and incorporate traditional views on it, practised by those who are in the front line protecting our fauna and flora. Ps. The country is called Colombia, not Columbia.

The most inspiring and humbling presentation of the evening. So much to learn from Colombia and wishing them every success with their „Peoples‘ COP“, #COP16!

The dinner is consistently fantastic, and this year was no different. The messages were both sobering and hopeful, and @Susana Muhamad presentation was exceptionally inspiring.
