South Korean pair end Pearly-Thinaah's fine run at Malaysian Masters

PETALING JAYA: Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah lost in the Malaysian Masters final to world No. 6 pair Baek Ha-na-Lee So-hee of South Korea in three games.

World No. 11 Pearly-Thinaah went down fighting 20-22, 21-8, 17-21 to Ha-na-So-hee in an energy-sapping final that lasted 101 minutes at the Axiata Arena.

Pearly-Thinaah were the first home pair to make it to the final of a home tournament (Malaysian Masters and Open) since Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi reached the final in 2019. Yew Sin-Ee Yi also emerged runners-up.
