A unique fighter
This game definitely is stylish. Really great animations and art. Gameplay is a simple loop but satisfying. I think it’s worth the buy.
It's just like one of my japanese animes! - Otacon
I have just started playing it and it seems alright. Great to be able to play like those characters from this great anime/manga. Can not wait to advance and see what more it has to offer.
alright
Everything is as it should be!
It’s good, not great
In regards to graphics, the game looks incredible. It feels a little short, and there isn’t anything incredible here, but my spouse loves it, so it definitely hits the spot for some people. Personally I just feel like there isn’t much to do here.
Mediocre at best
As a lifelong DQ fan, I was confused why this game sort of released with minimal fanfare. Usually I see some hype online or ads or -something-, but DQ is DQ so I instantly ordered it without thinking.
…..which was a mistake. This game is thinly veiled advertising for the anime and manga at best. There’s no world to explore, no story to impact, you watch an episode of the anime, press X a few times to beat the boss in a tiny arena, and then….watch another episode or two of the anime. In screenshots.
The tower function offers a bit more freedom, but even as someone who’s a huge fan of DQ, this doesn’t even feel like a DQ game. I had expected something closer to Warriors at worst, but this was just….devoid of content and entertainment entirely. I tried so hard to like it too….
