Thrilled to have joined the vibrant panel discussion about envisioning “growth” for companies around the world in 2024. The timing couldn't be better as the insights we shared are set to enrich our team's strategic offsite in Penang, Malaysia, later this week. As we transition from a tumultuous 2023, I wanted to share some pivotal takeaways from our dialogue to energise your strategies for 2024: 📝In our rapidly shifting business landscape, the importance of a robust contingency plan cannot be overstated. It's an essential tool for leaders to navigate uncertainties and safeguard their growth trajectory. 💻Reflecting on the EY2023 Work Reimagined Survey, there’s a striking insight: Despite 84% of employers embracing or planning to use generative AI within a year, skill development in AI remains underprioritized - only 22% of companies are actively enhancing training in AI-related skills. This underscores a significant opportunity for workforce upskilling in AI. 📊 Emphasising data-driven decision making is crucial than ever esp in the era of information overload. 🔄 It's also time for leaders to reevaluate and refresh brand visions, missions, and values. The evolving customer preferences and the need to resonate with younger talent call for a brand strategy that is dynamic and aligns with current market trends. 🔐 Navigating the complexities of data privacy and security is paramount, particularly as AI continues to advance in its ability to collect and analyze vast datasets. I hope these insights offer valuable perspectives as we step into 2024. A special thank you Charles H. Ferguson 方臣汉 Yi Ching Hew for your gracious invitation to be part of yesterday’s enlightening webinar. Looking forward to seeing how these ideas shape our endeavours in the coming year!
