Story

The Team, Larry and Christine Riches, with Ralph Kemp and Margaret Sowerby all experienced Model T drivers and riders are working to raise money for the Gibraltar Cancer Relief Charity in Gibraltar - The team will drive a 101 year old Ford Model T from Gibraltar Point in Lincolnshire to Gibraltar - a journey of almost 2000 miles through France and Spain - give generously !

We plan to leave Gibraltar Point on the 21st April around 1pm - heading in the direction of Portsmouth for our Ferry sailing on the 24th April - we plan a stop at the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum on the 23rd April around 2pm - why not meet up up with us?

We arrive in St Malo France on the 25th April - heading for St Nazaire, Royan, Soorts- Hosseger, then head for the Spanish border and cross into Spain, passing Santander and a crossing of the Picos Europa at "Puerto San Glorio at 1610 metres above sea level, before moving south towards Salamanca - watch this site for updates as we continue our journey to Gibraltar.

We will also hope to be offering rides after our safe arrival in Gibraltar by donation to the Charity - our ETA in Gibraltar is expected to be on the 6th of May - why not watch us arrive? Check the Cancer Relief social media platforms for time of arrival. You can experience a unique ride in a 1923 Ford Model T in this car by voluntary donation. The car hopefully will be on public display in Casemates on the 8th May from 10am, why not pop by and speak to the drivers and hopefully donate to this excellent cause.

In the1920's 50% of the cars on the road were the Ford Model T, this car really put the world on wheels...over 15 million were manufactured between 1908 and 1926!

We are amazed at the support from our friends and acquaintances, today we took the Model T out for a ride to help settle the new tyres in, met with friends for lunch and throughout the day donations exceeded £200! Thank you one and all for your support, just shows there are a lot of good people out there - we thank you from the bottom of our hearts - only 12 days too go when things get serious.... let the good times roll, thank you all for your support
