Strategic technologies for Europe platform

In June 2023, the European Commission published a proposal for a regulation establishing a new strategic technologies for Europe platform (STEP). During its October II 2023 plenary session, the European Parliament is expected to vote on the report adopted jointly by its Committees on Budgets (BUDG) and on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) on 9 October 2023. The report as voted would then form Parliament's position for interinstitutional negotiations with the Council, which has not yet agreed its position.
