Summary:

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Clerk (United States Security Coordinator (USSC)), FSN-6.


The work schedule for this position is:



  • Full Time (80 hours/Bi-weekly) 


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within one month of receipt of authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties



Duties would include in-processing new members of the United States Security Coordination (USSC), to include welcome emails, management of personnel folders, visa and MFA card applications, access requests and scheduling of appointments. Providing logistical support to the USSC joint, coalition team; maintaining the organizational contact list, ordering office supplies, managing team vehicle status to include registration, insurance, and maintenance services. Act as the alternate approval for time and attendance. Assisting with out-processing of personnel to include scheduling expediter and hotel reservations, closing travel accounts, and accounting for MFA cards and embassy access badges. The position will carry out other duties as assigned and supervised by the USSC Office Manager.

Requirements:

Experience:


Minimum two years of previous administrative/ clerical experience is required.


Languages:


(Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English.  (Good working knowledge) speaking/reading/writing Arabic and Hebrew is required(This will be tested).


Skills & Abilities:


Must have strong computer knowledge and ability to use various programs and databases. (This will be tested).

Education Requirements:

 High school diploma (Bagrut\Tawjihi\or equivalent) is required. (Please upload a copy of the certificate)

  • For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office. The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

  • Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Jerusalem will receive the following Benefits:


Thirteen Month salary


Vacation Bonus – The amount is NIS 371.00 per day. The number of days paid depends on the length of service.


Retirement Plan – Embassy contributes 7.5% and the employee contributes 6% or 7% of basic salary on a biweekly basis.


Education Fund – The Embassy contributes 7.5 % and the employee contributes 2.5% of basic salary on a biweekly basis.


Gift Bonus – The employee will receive NIS 330.00 paid on Passover and Rosh Hashanah.


Annual Leave – Employee is entitled to 13 workdays of annual leave per year, for the first 3 years of service.


Sick Leave - Employee is entitled to 30 workdays of sick leave per year.


Holidays - In addition to observing local holidays as required by law, the Embassy is also closed for 11 U.S. designated holidays every year.

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.  Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given. 


** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
