𝗪𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 | 𝗔 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 The WEPACK trade exhibition for the Paper and Packaging industry, took place in Shenzhen from April 10th to 12th. Our wonderful booth was always well attended and there was great interest in CHT Paper Solutions. 📦  Sustainable high-performance paper coatings such as 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗬 and 𝗖𝗛𝗧-𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗧 were particularly popular. CHT offers convincing and gentle solutions to replace plastic-based coating systems. 🍟 We are extremely grateful for the great exchange with the national and international specialist audience. What we took away with us are many valuable impressions about the current and future requirements of the global paper market. Today, on April 7, 2024, 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆, we would like to give you an insight into CHT Germany’s CHM strategy for 2024, which has #ergonomics as its motto. As the health and well-being of our employees is extremely important to us, we are striving to place even greater emphasis on a healthy and safe working environment and preventative measures in the future. 👁 Ergonomics and exercise are two crucial aspects that contribute significantly to health and performance. Ergonomic workplace design and regular #activity breaks can prevent physical complaints such as back pain or tension. 🤸♀️ This year, CHT Germany GmbH is planning health days with workshops and seminars on ergonomics at all German sites in order to raise awareness of health and well-being among the workforce. In addition, we will carry out measures to analyze workplace equipment and optimize it according to health-promoting aspects. CHT Germany GmbH offers ongoing yoga and back exercise courses to motivate employees to take more exercise in their everyday lives. In addition, CHT offers its employees the opportunity to take advantage of JobRad's bike leasing offers, thus making a positive contribution to #fitness, well-being and environmentally friendly mobility. 🚴 The topic of healthy #eating will not be neglected this year either. There will once again be an apple and tea campaign at the German locations. For us as a company, this includes making the water consumption of our activities and products visible and measurable. Although the calculation of water footprints compared to CO2 footprints is still in its infancy, we are convinced of its importance and are actively working on being able to record the water #footprints of our products. Issues from the city can be addressed and explained directly from the mayor's perspective. In return, the city in the person of the Lord Mayor is interested in receiving a first-hand account of the business situation at the location. Johan de Ruiter, Prof. Dr. Klaus R. Mueller Dr. Annegret Vester therefore took the opportunity to describe the situation of the chemical industry in the course of the European Commission Green Deal in more detail, both in Germany and Europe and specifically in Tuebingen. ✅ It became clear once again that CHT has a clear connection to the Tuebingen site due to the special corporate form of a foundation and with regard to the founder's will. Nevertheless, the general discussion about local locations was just as much a topic as the burden placed on industry by the energy situation, bureaucracy and regulations. 🚧 Especially in the energy-intensive chemical industry, the supply of sufficient renewable energy at competitive prices is a decisive factor. 🏁 During the discussion, Mayor Palmer was able to show how the city has already positioned itself in the course of future energy and heat planning and which measures will also follow in the transport sector in order to keep the location attractive. With direct reference to CHT's sustainability goals, Dr. Annegret Vester was able to show how CHT will continue to move towards sustainability with regard to the EU Green Deal and its own coordinated goals. A joint lunch in the canteen unfortunately had to be postponed for scheduling reasons.
